Makan siang rame-rame kemaren, perpisahan dengan kawan yang resign dari Plan. Salah satu topik diskusi adalah perubahan Plan ke depan. Rencananya akan jadi Yayasan di tahun 2018. Rencananya akan berubah dari "lembaga biru" menjadi "lembaga pink". Ini karena global theme-nya: "100 million reasons" menyasar 100 juta anak perempuan di seluruh dunia untuk bisa maju. Karena akan fokus ke anak perempuan, maka warna lembaga ini akan jadi PINK!
So what? Some friends laughed to know that. And a senior staff warned them: so prepare to be bullied, for the men. Since you'll wear pink instead of blue!
Really..I think. My husband loves to wear pink. This gender based color preference is just another social construction, so why bother so much. But there's another question: if gender biased color preference is not important, why should you change the organization color at the first place?
This social construction is somehow went under our consciousness.
